About Kameron
Kameron Hay is a writer, interviewer, creative and video producer.
Growing up and maturing in the ever-evolving world of media and social media, he has been able to keep a finger on the pulse of what is happening across the worlds of sports, fashion, music and entertainment to make himself a respected voice and curator of thought-provoking conversations. His combination of outspokeness and confidence landed him an internship at Complex Networks upon graduating college in 2017 before becoming the full-time sports social media editor and writer for the company from 2022 through 2024.
During his career as a multimedia journalist and personality, he has sat down with some of the biggest names in pop culture, from Kevin Durant to Shaquille O’Neal to Shannon Sharpe to Dwyane Wade, showing the ability to connect with people from different backgrounds and professional fields and create elevated content.
Beyond just interning and working for Complex Networks, Kameron has also lent his pen and voice for freelance work to companies such as the historic hip-hop publication XXL Magazine, the cutting-edge media corporation Red Bull, and the biggest record label in the world in Universal Music Group’s Urban Legends Department. On top of that, he served as the sports topics editor for FOX Sports from 2019 to 2022. In that specific role, he helped revamp FOX Sports’ approach to editorial to fit the current social media landscape upon the launch of the company's sports app in 2020.
He currently serves as the Senior Manager of Social Strategy and Creative Solutions at UPROXX, where he has been at the head of the charge in reviving and revamping the social approach for UPROXX, HipHopDX and Dime Magazine. Here he has created new social series ideas for the company such as “The Peak of Production” which highlights extraordinary work from some of hip-hop’s iconic producers, as well as “The Visionary Behind The Vision” which accomplishes the same goal for some of music’s best video directors.
